Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 7.77% or 59.0 points to trade at 818.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) added 5.76% or 10.05 points to end at 184.40 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) was up 1.77% or 1.46 points to 83.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb), which fell 3.44% or 17.0 points to trade at 476.6 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 2.80% or 10.9 points to end at 378.2 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was down 2.50% or 4.5 points to 177.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 329 to 293 and 62 ended unchanged.
Shares in AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) rose to all time highs; up 7.77% or 59.0 to 818.8. Shares in Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 5.76% or 10.05 to 184.40.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.41% or 0.23 to $56.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.38% or 0.24 to hit $63.42 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 6.45 to trade at $1417.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.27% to 10.5281, while USD/SEK rose 0.19% to 9.4439.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.512.
