Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 4.68% or 10.05 points to trade at 225.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) added 1.83% or 2.5 points to end at 138.9 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) was up 0.79% or 2.20 points to 279.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa), which fell 1.97% or 1.82 points to trade at 90.70 at the close. Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE) declined 1.89% or 1.22 points to end at 63.33 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was down 1.53% or 2.30 points to 147.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 338 to 305 and 56 ended unchanged.
Shares in Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.97% or 1.82 to 90.70. Shares in Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE) fell to 5-year lows; falling 1.89% or 1.22 to 63.33.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.31% or 0.73 to $56.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.46% or 0.91 to hit $63.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.85 to trade at $1428.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.28% to 10.5480, while USD/SEK rose 0.28% to 9.4040.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 96.907.
