Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 2.07% or 3.35 points to trade at 165.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 2.04% or 2.1 points to end at 107.8 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 1.99% or 9.6 points to 491.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 5.39% or 7.1 points to trade at 124.2 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 4.79% or 2.01 points to end at 39.92 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 3.79% or 9.80 points to 248.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 390 to 245 and 51 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.07% or 3.35 to 165.05. Shares in Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.04% or 2.1 to 107.8.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.46% or 0.32 to $69.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.40% or 0.31 to hit $77.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.58% or 7.00 to trade at $1204.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.48% to 10.6454, while USD/SEK rose 0.05% to 9.1425.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 94.81.
