Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb), which rose 6.90% or 0.23 points to trade at 3.53 at the close. Meanwhile, SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) added 1.90% or 4.40 points to end at 233.20 and Electrolux AB Class B (ST:ELUXb) was up 1.80% or 1.70 points to 97.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE), which fell 2.01% or 2.50 points to trade at 122.00 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 1.98% or 3.30 points to end at 160.70 and Evolution AB (ST:EVOG) was down 1.89% or 18.60 points to 966.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 424 to 352 and 65 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.95% or 1.34 to $69.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.51% or 1.09 to hit $73.28 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.28% or 34.81 to trade at $2,753.21 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.25% to 11.52, while USD/SEK fell 0.08% to 10.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 106.21.
