Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 11.53% or 12.00 points to trade at 116.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) added 2.82% or 2.73 points to end at 99.39 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) was up 2.14% or 1.98 points to 94.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which fell 3.69% or 7.3 points to trade at 190.7 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 3.09% or 2.3 points to end at 71.5 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 2.75% or 0.90 points to 31.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 326 to 297 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.09% or 2.3 to 71.5. Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.75% or 0.90 to 31.80.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.43% or 0.22 to $51.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.30% or 0.18 to hit $60.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.82% or 10.10 to trade at $1218.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.16% to 10.2844, while USD/SEK rose 0.22% to 9.1137.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 97.357.
