Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.52% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which rose 2.14% or 5.8 points to trade at 277.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) added 1.17% or 0.72 points to end at 62.12 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.06% or 1.5 points to 143.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which fell 0.60% or 0.90 points to trade at 149.00 at the close. Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) declined 0.48% or 0.19 points to end at 39.09 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was down 0.47% or 0.9 points to 189.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 370 to 227 and 49 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.58% or 1.15 to $45.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.51% or 1.18 to hit $48.15 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.38% or 5.05 to trade at $1348.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.37% to 9.4700, while USD/SEK rose 0.07% to 8.4562.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 95.47.
