Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.94%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AB SKF B (ST:SKFb), which rose 4.40% or 6.5 points to trade at 155.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) added 4.35% or 10.7 points to end at 256.7 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was up 4.07% or 11.2 points to 286.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 0.41% or 0.8 points to trade at 187.5 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 0.65% or 1.4 points to end at 217.4 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 0.81% or 1.0 points to 124.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 383 to 258 and 50 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.86% or 0.48 to $56.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.15% or 0.09 to hit $60.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.07% or 16.55 to trade at $1532.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.38% to 10.8112, while USD/SEK rose 0.58% to 9.7795.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 98.428.
