Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.79%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 4.16% or 6.60 points to trade at 165.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) added 3.59% or 10.4 points to end at 299.7 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was up 3.42% or 11.1 points to 335.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which rose 0.10% or 0.2 points to trade at 207.9 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) added 0.24% or 0.3 points to end at 125.3 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 0.46% or 0.3 points to 65.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 467 to 240 and 84 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.98% or 0.44 to $45.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.55% or 0.26 to hit $47.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.21 to trade at $1220.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.27% to 9.6072, while USD/SEK rose 0.21% to 8.4192.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 95.56.
