Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.78%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 5.42% or 7.71 points to trade at 149.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 4.80% or 8.4 points to end at 184.7 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was up 4.45% or 29.0 points to 680.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 1.85% or 4.05 points to trade at 214.95 at the close. Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE) declined 0.88% or 0.57 points to end at 64.55 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was down 0.74% or 0.21 points to 28.32.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 352 to 274 and 64 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE) fell to 5-year lows; falling 0.88% or 0.57 to 64.55. Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) fell to 52-week lows; falling 0.74% or 0.21 to 28.32.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.90% or 0.50 to $55.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.13% or 0.70 to hit $62.63 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.65 to trade at $1423.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.43% to 10.5315, while USD/SEK rose 0.98% to 9.3954.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 96.928.
