Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.58%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE), which rose 3.04% or 1.75 points to trade at 59.37 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 2.75% or 2.0 points to end at 75.6 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 2.50% or 4.2 points to 172.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 0.05% or 0.2 points to trade at 370.7 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 0.39% or 0.76 points to end at 195.26 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 0.74% or 1.05 points to 142.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 457 to 186 and 42 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.73% or 0.40 to $54.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.77% or 0.45 to hit $58.68 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 6.65 to trade at $1524.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.09% to 10.7123, while USD/SEK rose 0.13% to 9.6507.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 97.998.
