Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.57%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb), which rose 4.19% or 8.0 points to trade at 197.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) added 3.74% or 15.6 points to end at 433.0 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was up 2.82% or 12.9 points to 469.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which fell 2.55% or 1.9 points to trade at 71.9 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) declined 0.95% or 0.88 points to end at 91.94 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 0.27% or 0.35 points to 131.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 429 to 198 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) fell to 5-year lows; falling 0.95% or 0.88 to 91.94.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.53% or 1.33 to $53.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.59% or 1.60 to hit $63.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.55 to trade at $1345.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.30% to 10.6476, while USD/SEK fell 0.31% to 9.3882.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 96.477.
