Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which rose 2.66% or 4.4 points to trade at 169.7 at the close. Meanwhile, Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 2.62% or 17.0 points to end at 666.8 and Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) was up 2.50% or 2.04 points to 83.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which fell 0.83% or 1.20 points to trade at 144.10 at the close. Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) declined 0.22% or 0.09 points to end at 41.55 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) was up 0.39% or 0.34 points to 86.52.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 427 to 197 and 64 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.23% or 1.14 to $52.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.73% or 0.97 to hit $57.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 2.15 to trade at $1517.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.63% to 10.7223, while USD/SEK fell 0.57% to 9.5821.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.405.
