Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.44% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which rose 5.15% or 31.6 points to trade at 645.0 at the close. Meanwhile, AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) added 4.03% or 6.3 points to end at 162.8 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 3.46% or 1.08 points to 32.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which fell 1.24% or 1.8 points to trade at 138.8 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 1.04% or 4.4 points to end at 418.3 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was down 0.15% or 0.14 points to 92.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 420 to 202 and 59 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 4.08% or 2.13 to $54.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 2.36% or 1.44 to hit $62.38 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 6.65 to trade at $1349.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.40% to 10.6768, while USD/SEK rose 0.60% to 9.5368.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 97.172.
