Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 9.03% or 9.40 points to trade at 113.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) added 3.20% or 7.3 points to end at 235.7 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was up 3.08% or 6.5 points to 216.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 1.20% or 4.5 points to trade at 369.2 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 1.04% or 7.6 points to end at 725.3 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was down 1.00% or 1.7 points to 165.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 371 to 259 and 47 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.46% or 1.24 to $51.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.69% or 1.59 to hit $60.63 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1228.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.00% to 10.3096, while USD/SEK rose 0.01% to 9.0939.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 96.925.
