Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.39%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which rose 4.44% or 3.7 points to trade at 86.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) added 3.93% or 7.9 points to end at 209.1 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 3.73% or 7.55 points to 210.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which fell 0.81% or 6.2 points to trade at 757.8 at the close. Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE) declined 0.29% or 0.23 points to end at 79.88 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was down 0.03% or 0.03 points to 99.53.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 495 to 141 and 41 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.11% or 0.07 to $66.25 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.20% or 0.15 to hit $76.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.00 to trade at $1218.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.47% to 10.3607, while USD/SEK fell 0.33% to 9.1457.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 96.78.
