Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa), which rose 3.22% or 8.8 points to trade at 282.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) added 3.04% or 7.6 points to end at 257.6 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 2.26% or 3.65 points to 164.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which fell 0.58% or 4.0 points to trade at 684.0 at the close. Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) declined 0.06% or 0.10 points to end at 162.00 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) was up 0.16% or 0.14 points to 89.56.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 421 to 219 and 57 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.32% or 0.82 to $62.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.25% or 0.90 to hit $72.67 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.91% or 11.80 to trade at $1286.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.18% to 10.7702, while USD/SEK rose 0.42% to 9.6395.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 97.667.
