Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.32% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 4.80% or 1.97 points to trade at 43.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) added 4.06% or 6.9 points to end at 176.9 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 3.77% or 9.50 points to 261.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which fell 1.92% or 4.0 points to trade at 204.4 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 0.96% or 1.15 points to end at 119.10 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) was down 0.81% or 1.80 points to 221.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 396 to 226 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.43% or 0.97 to $68.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.08% or 0.79 to hit $73.85 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1224.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.41% to 10.3159, while USD/SEK fell 0.34% to 8.8300.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 94.40.
