Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.28% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which rose 3.46% or 5.0 points to trade at 149.5 at the close. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 2.96% or 15.0 points to end at 521.5 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was up 2.92% or 5.9 points to 207.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which fell 0.89% or 2.00 points to trade at 223.00 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 0.67% or 1.20 points to end at 177.40 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 103.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 473 to 270 and 63 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.43% or 0.68 to $48.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $53.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.99% or 13.35 to trade at $1337.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.35% to 9.5807, while USD/SEK rose 1.00% to 8.0105.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 91.84.
