Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.28%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 7.06% or 2.37 points to trade at 35.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 3.58% or 4.50 points to end at 130.20 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) was up 3.17% or 8.4 points to 273.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa), which fell 0.43% or 0.5 points to trade at 116.4 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) declined 0.41% or 0.20 points to end at 48.09 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was down 0.37% or 0.2 points to 68.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 444 to 279 and 73 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.42% or 0.20 to $47.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.27% or 0.14 to hit $51.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.17 to trade at $1292.53 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.09% to 9.5311, while USD/SEK rose 0.35% to 8.1019.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 93.37.
