Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.25%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 5.33% or 16.3 points to trade at 322.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) added 4.55% or 0.44 points to end at 10.10 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 3.70% or 10.10 points to 283.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 4.66% or 6.6 points to trade at 135.0 at the close. Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) declined 0.13% or 0.05 points to end at 37.16 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) was up 0.13% or 0.30 points to 223.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 349 to 262 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.66% or 6.6 to 135.0.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.29% or 0.17 to $59.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.46% or 0.29 to hit $63.01 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.38% or 18.40 to trade at $1348.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.08% to 9.9240, while USD/SEK fell 0.21% to 8.0109.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 89.29.
