Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.22%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which rose 4.79% or 30.2 points to trade at 660.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 3.32% or 3.91 points to end at 121.56 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 3.19% or 6.0 points to 195.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which fell 1.36% or 9.4 points to trade at 683.7 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) declined 0.80% or 0.80 points to end at 98.92 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was down 0.39% or 0.55 points to 140.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 408 to 239 and 43 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.86% or 1.39 to $49.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.56% or 1.47 to hit $58.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.30 to trade at $1285.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.12% to 10.2182, while USD/SEK rose 0.40% to 8.9301.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 95.498.
