Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.21% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 5.03% or 16.40 points to trade at 342.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 3.94% or 8.60 points to end at 226.70 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was up 3.75% or 3.90 points to 107.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 4.60% or 8.40 points to trade at 173.00 at the close. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) declined 4.58% or 0.37 points to end at 7.72 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 2.19% or 2.60 points to 116.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 462 to 319 and 82 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.38% or 1.66 to $68.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.07% or 1.51 to hit $71.39 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 1.40 to trade at $2,686.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 11.30, while USD/SEK fell 0.48% to 10.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 100.34.
