Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.20%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa), which rose 2.93% or 7.9 points to trade at 277.9 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) added 2.83% or 6.9 points to end at 250.9 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 2.68% or 6.05 points to 231.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which fell 0.49% or 0.65 points to trade at 131.20 at the close. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) added 0.05% or 0.04 points to end at 87.86 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 0.05% or 0.1 points to 183.9.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 348 to 279 and 68 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.13% or 0.07 to $53.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $62.30 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.25 to trade at $1331.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.39% to 10.6942, while USD/SEK rose 0.21% to 9.4367.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 96.627.
