Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.17%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 3.78% or 7.90 points to trade at 217.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 2.96% or 3.90 points to end at 135.50 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was up 2.41% or 6.9 points to 293.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which fell 0.89% or 1.25 points to trade at 138.45 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) declined 0.44% or 0.34 points to end at 76.46 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 0.24% or 2.1 points to 882.9.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 379 to 263 and 42 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.07% or 1.74 to $54.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.28% or 1.38 to hit $59.11 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.48% or 7.35 to trade at $1529.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.16% to 10.7895, while USD/SEK rose 0.57% to 9.8310.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 98.898.
