Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.11% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 2.85% or 4.45 points to trade at 160.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) added 2.33% or 5.3 points to end at 234.8 and Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) was up 2.26% or 2.2 points to 102.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA), which fell 1.72% or 0.73 points to trade at 41.67 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 0.04% or 0.05 points to end at 114.30 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 0.06% or 0.3 points to 491.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 353 to 285 and 48 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $68.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.20% or 0.15 to hit $76.28 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1215.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.14% to 10.6231, while USD/SEK fell 0.31% to 9.0988.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 94.71.
