Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.10% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb), which rose 3.64% or 7.9 points to trade at 224.8 at the close. Meanwhile, SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) added 3.36% or 5.9 points to end at 181.4 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 3.23% or 3.30 points to 105.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 0.30% or 0.40 points to trade at 132.90 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) declined 0.25% or 0.6 points to end at 241.3 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was down 0.24% or 0.4 points to 163.1.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 282 to 157 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.00% or 0.51 to $50.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.74% or 0.42 to hit $56.67 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 2.03% or 23.00 to trade at $1108.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.29% to 9.3410, while USD/SEK fell 0.47% to 8.6086.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 97.99.
