Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 1.03% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which rose 3.85% or 6.3 points to trade at 171.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) added 2.33% or 2.12 points to end at 93.24 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 2.27% or 10.0 points to 451.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which fell 1.26% or 1.4 points to trade at 109.7 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) declined 0.23% or 0.60 points to end at 265.40 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 0.21% or 0.25 points to 121.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 408 to 239 and 47 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.67% or 0.38 to $57.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.15% or 0.10 to hit $67.17 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.85 to trade at $1334.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.23% to 10.5984, while USD/SEK fell 0.34% to 9.3407.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 96.335.
