Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Investor AB ser. B (ST:INVEb), which rose 2.45% or 9.3 points to trade at 388.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) added 2.18% or 6.9 points to end at 323.9 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was up 2.04% or 7.3 points to 364.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 1.58% or 2.7 points to trade at 165.4 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) declined 0.38% or 0.5 points to end at 117.0 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 0.17% or 1.0 points to 576.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 408 to 208 and 38 ended unchanged.
Shares in H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) fell to 5-year lows; falling 1.58% or 2.7 to 165.4. Shares in Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) fell to 5-year lows; losing 0.38% or 0.5 to 117.0.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.78% or 0.48 to $62.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.28% or 0.19 to hit $68.03 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.30 to trade at $1319.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.05% to 9.8190, while USD/SEK fell 0.45% to 8.1396.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 91.67.
