Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which rose 2.79% or 4.80 points to trade at 177.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) added 2.44% or 5.1 points to end at 214.0 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was up 2.35% or 2.7 points to 117.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which fell 1.57% or 3.50 points to trade at 219.90 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 0.59% or 1.00 points to end at 168.10 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was down 0.02% or 0.1 points to 466.2.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 425 to 295 and 83 ended unchanged.
Shares in AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) fell to 52-week lows; down 0.02% or 0.1 to 466.2.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.28% or 0.13 to $46.57 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.27% or 0.14 to hit $51.52 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 5.11 to trade at $1313.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.05% to 9.4994, while USD/SEK rose 0.38% to 7.9689.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 92.65.
