Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 2.45% or 11.00 points to trade at 459.70 at the close. Meanwhile, AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) added 2.26% or 4.30 points to end at 194.50 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 1.91% or 4.10 points to 218.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA), which fell 0.38% or 0.12 points to trade at 31.39 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 0.22% or 0.40 points to end at 161.40 and Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) was down 0.17% or 0.05 points to 29.19.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 412 to 348 and 88 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.91% or 1.42 to $75.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.43% or 1.11 to hit $78.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 15.90 to trade at $2,553.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.10% to 11.33, while USD/SEK rose 0.42% to 10.23.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 101.26.
