Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.99% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb), which rose 4.31% or 11.0 points to trade at 266.3 at the close. Meanwhile, AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) added 3.52% or 5.8 points to end at 170.5 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was up 3.51% or 10.0 points to 294.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE), which fell 1.72% or 1.19 points to trade at 67.86 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 1.14% or 4.7 points to end at 408.2 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 0.73% or 1.00 points to 135.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 335 to 307 and 50 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 5.10% or 2.75 to $56.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.88% or 2.40 to hit $64.22 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 3.23% or 43.55 to trade at $1392.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.21% to 10.6268, while USD/SEK fell 0.78% to 9.4133.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 96.188.
