Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.99%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 3.46% or 4.50 points to trade at 134.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) added 2.94% or 13.1 points to end at 459.4 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 2.92% or 5.74 points to 202.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which fell 0.69% or 2.5 points to trade at 357.7 at the close. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 0.26% or 0.30 points to end at 114.25 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was down 0.16% or 0.25 points to 152.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 379 to 243 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.88% or 1.45 to $51.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.93% or 1.14 to hit $60.23 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.40 to trade at $1232.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.42% to 10.3157, while USD/SEK rose 0.29% to 9.0636.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 96.735.
