Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.93% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 8.79% or 18.60 points to trade at 230.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) added 6.41% or 0.32 points to end at 5.28 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 4.18% or 9.90 points to 246.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb), which fell 6.72% or 20.10 points to trade at 278.80 at the close. Evolution AB (ST:EVOG) declined 0.83% or 7.00 points to end at 832.40 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 0.70% or 2.40 points to 340.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 472 to 290 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) rose to all time highs; rising 4.18% or 9.90 to 246.70.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.02% or 0.77 to $74.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.94% or 0.74 to hit $78.26 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 9.44 to trade at $2,761.46 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.10% to 11.46, while USD/SEK unchanged 0.02% to 11.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 107.91.
