Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which rose 3.93% or 26.0 points to trade at 686.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) added 3.09% or 2.5 points to end at 83.5 and Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) was up 3.03% or 6.60 points to 224.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which fell 0.88% or 1.00 points to trade at 112.60 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 0.29% or 2.0 points to end at 681.7 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was down 0.19% or 0.08 points to 42.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 380 to 250 and 51 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 4.80% or 2.39 to $52.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 4.16% or 2.44 to hit $61.16 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 4.00 to trade at $1289.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.26% to 10.2398, while USD/SEK fell 0.45% to 8.8871.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 94.955.
