Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.89% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 5.66% or 25.2 points to trade at 470.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) added 3.75% or 8.10 points to end at 224.10 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 3.49% or 6.8 points to 201.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which fell 1.66% or 1.5 points to trade at 91.5 at the close. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 1.03% or 1.8 points to end at 173.2 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 0.93% or 2.55 points to 272.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 317 to 304 and 57 ended unchanged.
Shares in Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) rose to all time highs; up 5.66% or 25.2 to 470.2.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.37% or 0.25 to $68.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.29% or 0.21 to hit $72.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.94% or 11.50 to trade at $1216.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.57% to 10.3772, while USD/SEK rose 0.88% to 8.9435.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 95.26.
