Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which rose 13.43% or 13.50 points to trade at 114.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) added 8.83% or 5.97 points to end at 73.55 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 3.12% or 1.35 points to 44.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which fell 3.08% or 3.0 points to trade at 93.0 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) declined 2.75% or 2.78 points to end at 98.42 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was down 1.78% or 3.5 points to 190.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 348 to 290 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) rose to 52-week highs; up 8.83% or 5.97 to 73.55.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.30% or 0.20 to $67.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.44% or 0.32 to hit $72.48 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1226.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.07% to 10.3161, while USD/SEK rose 0.14% to 8.8537.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 94.80.
