Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 1.94% or 0.81 points to trade at 42.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb) added 1.85% or 5.6 points to end at 307.6 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 1.75% or 8.6 points to 500.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which fell 0.24% or 0.2 points to trade at 98.6 at the close. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 0.10% or 0.2 points to end at 204.5 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was up 0.06% or 0.10 points to 159.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 368 to 241 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.75% or 8.6 to 500.2.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.23% or 0.85 to $68.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.65% or 0.48 to hit $72.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 6.60 to trade at $1226.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.17% to 10.3211, while USD/SEK rose 0.05% to 8.8979.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 94.81.
