Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVb), which rose 3.93% or 9.7 points to trade at 256.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) added 2.71% or 3.9 points to end at 146.0 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was up 2.60% or 9.6 points to 379.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 1.91% or 4.20 points to trade at 215.85 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 1.02% or 0.28 points to end at 27.21 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was down 0.30% or 0.6 points to 181.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 331 to 294 and 71 ended unchanged.
Shares in SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.02% or 0.28 to 27.21.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 7.36% or 4.31 to $54.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 6.64% or 4.32 to hit $60.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.91% or 13.15 to trade at $1450.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.17% to 10.7062, while USD/SEK rose 0.13% to 9.6648.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 98.205.
