Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.81% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were NIBE Industrier AB ser. B (ST:NIBEb), which rose 6.68% or 3.40 points to trade at 54.30 at the close. Meanwhile, SAAB AB ser. B (ST:SAABb) added 4.28% or 9.00 points to end at 219.40 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was up 2.67% or 2.70 points to 104.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which fell 4.86% or 11.20 points to trade at 219.30 at the close. Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE) declined 1.90% or 2.30 points to end at 118.50 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was down 1.51% or 3.30 points to 214.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 451 to 310 and 92 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.22% or 1.59 to $69.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.75% or 1.30 to hit $73.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 3.40 to trade at $2,680.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.51% to 11.34, while USD/SEK rose 0.81% to 10.18.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 100.52.
