Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.80% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb), which rose 7.85% or 7.50 points to trade at 103.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Sinch AB (ST:SINCH) added 3.94% or 0.77 points to end at 20.31 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was up 3.06% or 4.90 points to 163.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which fell 3.05% or 46.00 points to trade at 1,461.50 at the close. Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST:SBBb) declined 2.39% or 0.09 points to end at 3.55 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was down 0.77% or 1.70 points to 217.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 415 to 355 and 76 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.90% or 0.63 to $69.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.79% or 0.58 to hit $73.04 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 6.46 to trade at $2,674.36 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.52% to 11.50, while USD/SEK fell 0.73% to 10.92.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 106.16.
