Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.79% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 4.16% or 0.91 points to trade at 22.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) added 3.25% or 4.8 points to end at 152.7 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 2.59% or 0.99 points to 39.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 0.78% or 1.40 points to trade at 178.20 at the close. H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) declined 0.05% or 0.1 points to end at 211.0 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 0.15% or 0.3 points to 198.9.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 485 to 259 and 65 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.16% or 0.08 to $51.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.56% or 0.32 to hit $56.84 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.34 to trade at $1287.36 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.74% to 9.6325, while USD/SEK rose 0.53% to 8.1557.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 92.99.
