Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 2.40% or 0.98 points to trade at 41.77 at the close. Meanwhile, Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) added 2.37% or 18.4 points to end at 795.0 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 2.14% or 3.9 points to 185.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which fell 0.87% or 0.9 points to trade at 108.7 at the close. Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) declined 0.38% or 1.8 points to end at 471.5 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 0.35% or 0.40 points to 113.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 390 to 225 and 69 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.92% or 0.63 to $69.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.28% or 0.22 to hit $78.40 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 8.50 to trade at $1199.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.58% to 10.5289, while USD/SEK rose 0.92% to 9.0374.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 94.83.
