Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.77%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 7.56% or 10.26 points to trade at 145.96 at the close. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 2.01% or 9.5 points to end at 481.6 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 1.61% or 2.9 points to 182.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb), which fell 0.75% or 0.5 points to trade at 65.8 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 0.69% or 0.25 points to end at 36.08 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb) was down 0.68% or 1.0 points to 146.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 434 to 301 and 73 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.44% or 0.21 to $47.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.40% or 0.21 to hit $52.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.54% or 7.10 to trade at $1329.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.43% to 9.4952, while USD/SEK rose 0.68% to 7.9928.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 92.67.
