Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which rose 4.10% or 19.8 points to trade at 503.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) added 2.60% or 3.30 points to end at 130.00 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 2.54% or 4.6 points to 185.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA), which fell 1.43% or 1.50 points to trade at 103.30 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 0.08% or 0.1 points to end at 64.5 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was down 0.05% or 0.1 points to 210.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 429 to 292 and 79 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $49.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.31% or 0.17 to hit $54.37 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.95% or 12.74 to trade at $1351.74 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.40% to 9.5497, while USD/SEK fell 0.44% to 7.9450.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.74% at 91.53.
