Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 3.19% or 4.80 points to trade at 155.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 1.87% or 3.9 points to end at 212.5 and AB SKF B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.73% or 2.8 points to 164.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which fell 2.09% or 2.9 points to trade at 134.6 at the close. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.52% or 0.11 points to end at 6.95 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 0.49% or 0.55 points to 110.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 324 to 291 and 57 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.26% or 2.30 to $72.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.40% or 1.83 to hit $77.97 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.50 to trade at $1256.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.11% to 10.3568, while USD/SEK rose 0.62% to 8.9371.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 94.79.
