Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA), which rose 2.83% or 2.75 points to trade at 100.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) added 2.70% or 5.3 points to end at 201.9 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was up 2.52% or 2.8 points to 113.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which fell 2.00% or 5.5 points to trade at 269.8 at the close. Essity AB B (ST:ESSITYb) declined 1.32% or 3.30 points to end at 246.70 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 0.93% or 1.00 points to 106.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 346 to 256 and 63 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.39% or 0.79 to $57.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.85% or 1.15 to hit $63.35 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1249.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.31% to 9.9579, while USD/SEK fell 0.23% to 8.4655.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 93.94.
