Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 2.85% or 5.00 points to trade at 180.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) added 2.14% or 1.4 points to end at 66.8 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 1.66% or 1.70 points to 104.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which fell 0.99% or 0.52 points to trade at 52.08 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 0.91% or 0.39 points to end at 42.57 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb) was down 0.56% or 5.0 points to 895.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 382 to 311 and 106 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.67% or 0.80 to $48.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.41% or 0.71 to hit $50.91 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.28% or 3.53 to trade at $1248.57 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.19% to 9.5781, while USD/SEK rose 0.29% to 8.2317.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 94.00.
