Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.69% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA), which rose 2.13% or 2.20 points to trade at 105.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 1.84% or 2.75 points to end at 152.35 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was up 1.79% or 2.1 points to 119.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 2.80% or 0.66 points to trade at 22.89 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) declined 1.69% or 4.70 points to end at 273.00 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 1.39% or 1.30 points to 92.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 379 to 342 and 83 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.80% or 0.66 to 22.89. Shares in Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) rose to all time highs; up 1.84% or 2.75 to 152.35.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.06% or 0.03 to $50.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $56.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.39% or 18.24 to trade at $1298.16 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.08% to 9.5245, while USD/SEK fell 0.54% to 7.9737.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 91.95.
