Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which rose 3.08% or 21.2 points to trade at 710.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:ERICb) added 2.88% or 2.20 points to end at 78.72 and Atlas Copco AB Class A (ST:ATCOa) was up 1.86% or 4.2 points to 227.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which fell 1.47% or 1.2 points to trade at 83.1 at the close. AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) declined 0.81% or 5.4 points to end at 657.6 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) was down 0.67% or 2.7 points to 400.4.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 331 to 293 and 61 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.24% or 0.65 to $53.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.33% or 0.20 to hit $61.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.75 to trade at $1281.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.15% to 10.2745, while USD/SEK rose 0.70% to 9.0786.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 96.222.
