Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.63% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb), which rose 2.81% or 3.85 points to trade at 141.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 2.51% or 5.0 points to end at 204.1 and Atlas Copco AB Series B (ST:ATCOb) was up 2.43% or 5.6 points to 236.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank Abp (ST:NDASE), which fell 0.94% or 0.80 points to trade at 84.47 at the close. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) declined 0.79% or 0.76 points to end at 95.42 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:HEXAb) was down 0.76% or 3.7 points to 482.7.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 349 to 293 and 55 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.27% or 0.16 to $59.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $67.56 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.45 to trade at $1306.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.13% to 10.4474, while USD/SEK fell 0.29% to 9.2011.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 95.822.
